Wikipedia: Human

I find wikipedia’s article “Human” to be utterly fascinating.  Because of the ‘neutral point of view’ style requirement the prose reads like it was written by an alien intelligence.  For instance, there’s lines like this

Humans are uniquely adept at utilizing systems of symbolic communication such as language for self-expression, the exchange of ideas, and organization. Humans create complex social structures composed of many cooperating and competing groups, from families and kinship networks to states.

And never once does the article mention that human beings are writing the article.

Patrick

The inevitable victor

Patrick really is more awesome. His name goes second to signal the inevitability of his victory.

When not rubbing John's face in his rarefied awesomeness, Patrick (a.k.a. Patrick Harris) is a graduate student of Rhetoric at SDSU and all-about geek gadfly.
